Temple Chambers

We worked with two separate clients to transform neighbouring white-box chambers within the historic Temple into calm, highly functional working environments. Each space was carefully tailored to its occupant, balancing the practical demands of a modern legal practice with a sense of warmth and ease.

In the first chamber, we created a layered environment that accommodates focused work, informal meetings and moments of respite. A bespoke desk was designed to discreetly house integrated technology, while a lounge area and dedicated meeting seating soften the formality of the office setting. Expansive custom joinery with fluted oak fronts and Verde Antigua marble shelving provides both storage and visual depth, with thoughtful details - including a concealed integrated clothes steamer - embedded into the design. Generous drapery was introduced to temper the architectural hardness of the white-box space and create a more relaxed atmosphere.

The second chamber, considerably more compact, required a highly efficient approach. A custom desk anchors the room, paired with soft ambient lighting and a mid-century sheepskin chair to create a comfortable yet focused workspace. Rattan-fronted oak joinery discreetly conceals the FCU while providing shelving above, and an oversized artwork introduces a bold focal point. The office also benefits from access to a terrace, which we furnished and planted in collaboration with a landscaper, creating a quiet outdoor retreat in the heart of the Temple.
